At the end of the first consultation, I will tell you precisely which technique is suitable for your specific case, the type of implant, the exact positioning of the implants, and will trace an outline of the incisions and any additional procedures needed.
There are different types of implants available, Animplant is always a silicone shell filled with either silicone gel, or a salt-water solution called saline.
The latest gel-filled implants contain a cohesive silicone gel which avoids any leakage. A lot of different shapes are available which allows me to mould the breast into the desired shape.

The implant can be behind the gland, or behind the pectoral major muscle.
In function of the measurements taken at the first consultation, I will advise the size and the shape best adapted to your morphology and one which will give a natural looking result.

Laurence Bresson, my assistant, will help you to try on the samples that I have chosen, this will allow you to have an idea of your new figure, bothdressed and undressed. Please note that very large implants can look nice when dressed but, when you are undressed, your breasts will never look natural.
In case of ptosis, I may have to make a circular scar around the areola, or a T-shaped scar.

It’s necessary to have a stable weight because any variation in weight after the surgery will have a bad impact on the final result.A complete breast imaging is prescribed systematically ( breast X ray, echography)

The operation is carried out under general anesthetic, during a short hospital stay over. All the resection of the mammary gland is weighed, and sent to the laboratory for a histologic examination.
I use re-absorbable crotched thread in order to shorten the scars and to obtain a minimum width.
I apply a compressive bandage immediately after the operation.
You will be asked to evaluate your pain from a degree of 0 to 10 and the medical team will adapt the pain killers to your specific need. It’s vital that the pain will be dealt with rapidly and you ask you to work together with the medical team so as to insure your maximum comfort.

Along with my team, I ensure all postoperative carein order to diminish scarring. A compressive bra needs to be worn for one month. Bandages are changed every four days for 15 days, a silicone gel is applied for several months.
During the first month, upper body movement must be limited. You can take up sport again only after the first month.

The final result is obtained after one year, the time necessary for the breasts to achieve their natural position and for the scars to diminish. The breasts stay natural and sensitive, notably when there are hormonal or weight variations.
As your surgeon, the long term result is of upmost importance to me, because with time, the breasts and the body change. My role is to foresee and accompany this evolution though out your life. To be clear, if you opt for larger implants, the more chance there is of a secondary ptosis with age, and this second operation to correct the ptosis automatically means more scarring.(cf. mammary ptosis)
