An armlift or brachioplasty corrects sagging wrinkled under arm skin from the armpit to the elbow.

It completely remodels the contours of the upper arms to give them a sculpted pleasing shape whilst, at the same time, tightening up the loose skin. It takes years off the arms.
The operation involves two distinct surgical acts:
– Excess fat is removed in most cases by liposuction
– Excess skin is re-sectioned and then re-draped along the contours of the upper arm
Depending on the amount of skin to be removed, the scar can be either transversal going into the armpit or lengthwise along the inner side of the upper arm.

Depending on the amount of skin to be removed, the operation can be carried out with general anaesthetic but as a day patient.

After a brachioplasty, I have to see you after 6 months to evaluate the final result and if necessary make some minor cosmetic adjustments to perfect the result.
